Terms of Service
Updated September 30, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MeteorMouth app and its related services (the "App"), provided by XAVware, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a New Jersey limited liability company.
By using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. If you cannot legally agree on your own, use the App only with a parent's or guardian's permission.
1. Accounts
Anyone can play without an account. You must be at least 13 to register one. If you do, provide accurate information, keep your phone and phone number secure (a phone number and a one-time code are the only way to sign in), and tell us if someone else gets into your account. You can delete your account in the App at any time.
2. The Game
MeteorMouth is a word game played by speaking. We may change its features, content, rules, scoring, or availability. Speech recognition makes mistakes, so scores and feedback will not always be accurate.
MeteorMouth is not a medical, clinical, or diagnostic tool. Its scores, timings, and feedback are not an assessment of health, cognition, or speech or language ability.
3. Play Fair
Use the App lawfully and for personal purposes. Do not access other people's accounts, disrupt the App or bypass its security, send anything malicious or abusive, scrape its content, or copy, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit it except where the law allows. We may restrict access to protect people or the App.
4. Feedback
If you send us feedback, we may use it to run and improve the App without paying you. We do not have to respond to it.
5. Ownership
The App, including its software, game content, word banks, and branding, belongs to XAVware or its licensors. Your license to the software is the one Apple provides with App Store downloads; these Terms cover your use of our services.
6. Acknowledgements
MeteorMouth includes third-party work used under these licenses:
- Open English WordNet — CC BY 4.0
- CMU Pronouncing Dictionary (Carnegie Mellon University) — BSD-2-Clause
- wordfreq (Robyn Speer) — Apache-2.0 (code), CC BY-SA 4.0 (data)
- g2p-en — Apache-2.0
- Pow (EmergeTools) — MIT
- Firebase SDKs (Google LLC) — Apache-2.0
7. Availability and Termination
MeteorMouth is currently offered only in the United States. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, create a security or legal risk, or the law requires it. You may stop using the App at any time.
8. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free. Rights that cannot legally be excluded still apply.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, XAVware is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Governing Law
New Jersey law and applicable United States federal law govern these Terms. Unless the law requires otherwise, disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts serving New Jersey.
11. Changes
We will post updated Terms here with a new effective date and give any other notice the law requires. If you keep using the App after they take effect, you accept them.
12. General
If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
