Privacy Policy

This policy explains how XAVware, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a New Jersey limited liability company, handles information in the MeteorMouth app and its related services (the "App"). See also our Terms of Service.
1. What We Collect
- An anonymous identifier. The App creates one when you first open it so it can connect to our services. It is not tied to your name or phone number.
- Your phone number, only if you register an account. Accounts are optional.
- A display name, if you choose one. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- Speech. We never receive or store your audio. Apple handles speech recognition and may process your speech on its servers under its own privacy policy.
- Gameplay stats, never tied to you. For each play session we receive scores, timings, which of the game's accepted answers you gave, and app, device, and locale information, with no account identifier, name, or phone number. We don't keep anything else you say. If the game accepts an answer our word list doesn't have yet, we keep only a count of how often that word comes up.
- Analytics and diagnostics. Usage, crash, and performance data, device and usage identifiers, and approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address. Crash reports are not connected to your account.
- Security and service data. Identifiers, IP addresses, and request information used to verify sign-ins, deliver optional notifications, check app integrity, and prevent abuse.
- Feedback you send in the App, with App and device context. It is not attached to your account, so email us if you want a reply.
2. How We Use It
We use information to run the App and its accounts, fix crashes and performance problems, understand and improve the experience, respond to feedback, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and follow the law.
We do not use your information for advertising, sell it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
3. Who We Share It With
- Service providers that run the App for us, who may use it only to provide their services to us: Google (Google Cloud and Firebase, which host our services and provide analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, messaging, and App Check, with Google's ad-personalization features turned off), Apple (speech recognition, notification delivery, and device verification), and an email provider that delivers your feedback to us.
- When the law requires it, or when needed to protect rights, safety, or security.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable law.
4. Retention and Deletion
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. To prevent abuse of sign-in codes, we keep a hashed form of each phone number a code is sent to for up to 48 hours after the last code.
You can delete your account in the App's settings. This deletes the data attached to your account. It does not remove data on your device, gameplay stats (which are never tied to your account), or information we must keep by law.
5. Your Choices
You can manage microphone, Speech Recognition, and notification permissions in iOS Settings, and reminders in the App. You can also email us to access, correct, or delete your information. We may need to verify your identity, and may decline a request if we cannot find the record or the law allows it.
6. Children's Privacy
MeteorMouth is a general-audience App. Anyone can play without an account, but you must be at least 13 to register one. The App is not directed to children under 13. If we learn we collected personal information from a child under 13 without required consent, we will delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child's information.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure.
8. Changes
We will post updates here with a new effective date and give any other notice the law requires.
